Where we've come from
From humble beginnings, following a chance meeting in 1998 whilst rowing on the Shoalhaven River, founders Laurie Koster, Fran Koster and Phil Guy struck up a friendship built around their shared passions and experience serving in the military. Their combined experience and belief that they could offer better solutions to the Australian Defence Force inspired the launch of Global Defence Solutions and Mellori Solutions. Julia Guy later joined the adventure, and the Alkath Group was born.
Little did they know, 25 years on, we would be recognised as a leading defence SME and key partner within the Australian defence industry. We would also like to recognise all of the people who have contributed to us reaching this stage of our adventure – THANK YOU!
